Oxygen (02), when combined with an additional oxygen molecule using a generator, creates ozone (03). This “miracle molecule” is a versatile treatment with an extensive history. It can address a wide range of health concerns with various applications such as topicals, injections, intravenous, insufflations and more. Oxygen therapies are considered foundational at Purist Natural Medicine. Oxygen is vital to life and restoration of the tissue. Almost anyone can reap the benefits of oxygen therapies. One of the key advantages of medical ozone therapy is its reputation for being safe and effective when administered by trained professionals. Its ability to address both acute and chronic conditions makes it a valuable tool in integrative medicine approaches. fields including health optimization, athletic performance, cosmetic, pain management, and immune system support.

Oxygen Injections
Musculoskeletal Pain: Ozone is injected into the skin, muscle, ligament, tendon or joint to help health tissue. It has a local effect which can reduce inflammation and pain and stimulate stem cells to come to the area to help heal. Conditions that may benefit: Frozen shoulder, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, wart treatments, trigger finger, arthritis nodules and bunions and more. Cellulite: Oxygen injections help to minimize the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite by oxygenating the tissue and clearing out toxins. A series of 2-3 sessions/week is recommended for 15-20 sessions. Scars: Research shows ozone injections can reduce thickness and stiffness of scars. Additionally newer wounds may benefit from oxygen injections by stimulating growth factors which reduces healing time. If scars are present, it is important to have them evaluated for adhesions. Scars can cause a physical block preventing energy from traveling to organ systems or distal sites of the body. “It has been shown that a high percentage of scars exhibit increased resistance (abnormal membrane electrical potential) with the possibility of causing symptoms over time. Restoration of coherence in the energy field re-establishes normal membrane electrical potential which reduces inflammation and pain.” “Symptoms” may be local pain or pain in distal areas even years later. A common symptom is SI (low back) joint pain years after C-sections. Examples include: C-section scars, breast implant scars, tattoo scars, surgical scars. Frozen shoulder may occur months to years after breast implant or reduction surgeries. Depending on the size and depth of the scar, several sessions may be needed. Regular treatment of long-standing interference fields (daily or several times a week) may be necessary to retrain tissues that have been trapped in dysfunction for a long time. Hair Rejuvenation: By improving microcirculation in the scalp, ozone has been shown to improve hair growth. A series of 5-10 sessions is recommended every 15 days. This treatment may be used in conjunction with PRP injections or between treatments. Dry Eyes: This phenomenon of improved eye hydration was discovered by a doctor while performing facial ozone injections for fine lines and wrinkles. Patients reported that they were using less of their dry-eye drops and were more comfortable and even reported “sharper vision.” Injections are placed in the skin lateral to the eyes and above the nose between both eyes. Chronic dry eyes are a common sometimes unnoticed condition that may be associated with various health conditions. People may experience dryer than normal tear ducts or tears evaporate too quickly or both. Ozone injections most likely increase microcirculation, decrease inflammation and change the anaerobic metabolism of stressed cells to proper aerobic metabolism. Results last anywhere from 1 week to 3 months.
Oxygen Insufflations
Insufflation— a term that is used to describe a constant flow of ozone to treat an area. Insufflations allow for absorption of ozone via absorption through moist membranes into the bloodstream. Improves microcirculation and oxygenation of tissues which has a local and systemic effect. Vaginal insufflation: Ozone is administered via the vagina for absorption into the bloodstream. It can optimize fertility and improve pelvic pain. It is a great natural antimicrobial treatment for bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections. Rectal insufflation: One of the longest researched and most easily administered forms of ozone therapy. Ozone is administered via the rectum for absorption into the bloodstream. This can be used in place of major autohemotherapy that requires which requires access to a vein. It may improve all inflammatory processes such as arthritis, increase energy, improve digestion, enhance mental clarity, improve immune functioning and much more. This is a powerful tool everyone should have at home in their “medicine cabinet.” Ear insufflation: Ozone is administered via a specialized stethoscope which can help inner ear infections, tinnitus, upper respiratory tract infections, and brain fog. Sinus insufflation: A small amount of ozone is safely delivered to your sinuses. This is a wonderful option for individuals with acute and chronic sinus infections related to bacteria, mold, and fungi. Limb bagging: Ozone gas is administered into a bag which is placed over your limb: hand, arm, foot, leg. Ozone gently fills the bag. This treatment can be helpful for skin conditions such wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and infections such as athlete’s foot and toenail fungus.
Intravenous
Intravenous therapies involve ozonating saline for absorption into the vein in a small dose (minor autohemotherapy). This therapy may modulate the immune system, increase oxygen, aide in detox, provide mental clarity and aides in athletic recovery and is a wonderful adjunct to aesthetic procedure.
