The realm of aesthetic treatments has evolved significantly, presenting individuals with a multitude of options to enhance their natural beauty. Among these options, natural aesthetics approaches like Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), Oxygen therapy, and Micro-needling have gained prominence. Offering distinct advantages over traditional aesthetic treatments, these natural approaches harness the body’s innate abilities to rejuvenate and repair. Whether an individual is looking for enhanced facial aesthetics or improved skin health, these procedures provide safe and effective alternatives. As with any medical treatment, it is essential to consult with a qualified professional to determine the most suitable option based on individual needs and desired outcomes.

What is Skinpen Micro-needling Device?
At Purist Natural Medicine, we use the SkinPen, an FDA approved micro-needling device designed to stimulate the skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen and elastin for healthier, younger feeling skin. This anti-aging treatment is designed to utilize the body’s own physiological wound healing process to increase collagen formation. This means nothing fake or synthetic is used during the processing or treatment.
What is micro-needling?
Micro-needling is a controlled “micro-trauma” to the skin tissue creating microscopic channels which allows for platelet rich plasma (PRP), obtained from your own blood to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin where collagen is produced. When the platelets from your plasma are applied topically to the “traumatized” tissue, they send signals to the local cells to proliferate. This process may accelerate tissue repair and remodeling resulting in increased collagen formation and skin tightening.
Who Benefits from Micro-needling?
Micro-needling is appropriate for individuals who would like to address: Acne scars, sun-damaged skin, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores and hyperpigmentation.
Micro-needling combined with PRP is normally completed within 60-90 minutes depending on the required treatment and anatomical site(s). Sites include: face, neck, chest. Injections of the patient’s PRP may be provided in areas of deep line/wrinkles as an optional add-on.

Scar Therapy
Scar therapy using micro needling, ozone, dextrose, and peptides is a holistic approach aimed at improving the appearance and function of scars. Each of these components offers unique benefits in promoting wound healing, tissue regeneration, and collagen remodeling. Here’s an overview of their potential benefits:
Benefits of Treating Scars
Improved appearance of scars, including reduced redness, thickness, and irregularities.
- Enhanced flexibility and mobility of scar tissue, reducing the risk of adhesions and restrictions.
- Alleviation of symptoms associated with scars, such as pain, itching, and discomfort.
- Promotion of overall skin health and vitality, leading to a smoother, more youthful complexion.
It’s important to note that the effectiveness of scar therapy with these modalities may vary depending on factors such as the type and severity of the scar and individual response to treatment. Schedule a consult to discuss your options.

Hair
Hair restoration and rejuvenation is a series of injections for hair loss. It entails simple injections of natural substances into various sites throughout the scalp to improve hair density and reestablish natural hair growth without the side effects of surgery or drugs and has very little downtime. Options include PRP injections, oxygen, a combination of both or a topical application of Exosomes.
Hair Rejuvenation w/ PRP
Platelets contain healing growth factors that communicate with the local tissue to regenerate and proliferate (multiply). The growth factors and stem cells work together to reverse miniaturization of the hair follicle and stimulate dormant hair back into the growth stage.
Research shows that PRP injections trigger and maintain natural hair growth by:
- Increasing blood supply to the hair follicle.
- Increasing the shaft size (thickness).
- Triggers and maintains the growth phase.
- Controls hair growth cycle.
- Decreases hair loss
Who is a good candidate? Anyone wanting to improve thinning hair, reverse alopecia or optimize hair growth. However, it is always advisable to work with your doctor to determine a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. How many treatments are recommended? Treatment will vary based on your need. Typically, at onset of hair restoration therapy, 6 treatments spaced one month apart is recommended, followed by one treatment every 6-12 months for maintenance. What is the Hair Restoration with PRP process? 3 Step Process By improving microcirculation in the scalp, ozone has been shown to improve hair growth. A series of 5-10 sessions is recommended every 15 days. This treatment may be used in conjunction with PRP injections or between treatments. Is there anything else I can do to prevent hair loss? Hair Rejuvenation techniques have been shown to work as a stand-alone treatment option. However, it is advisable to obtain appropriate lab analysis to determine the root cause of your hair loss such as hormone imbalances, micronutrient deficiencies etc. Diet, lifestyle and supplement recommendations may be recommended.
Step 1: A special collection tube is used to draw your blood and is placed in a centrifuge.
Step 2: After several minutes of centrifugation the platelets are concentrated and drawn up into a syringe.
Step 3: Using a small needle, the platelets are then injected strategically into your scalp in the areas of focus.Hair Rejuvenation w/ Oxygen
